About Undergraduate Admissions

What brought you to VCU?

Originally, it was my desire to become an elementary school teacher; now it is to share my experiences at VCU with high school students and to help them make one of the most important decisions in their lives.

What do you enjoy most about meeting prospective VCU students?

I love to hear their stories — what they have done so far and what they hope for the future. I also like sharing about my college years: the highs, the lows and where I am now, 20 years later.

Name three adjectives that describe Undergraduate Admissions.

I would describe it as organized, timely and thorough.

Who/what inspires you?

My daughter inspires me to seek out people and engage in conversations. She truly enjoys getting to know people — their thoughts and interests. She has a sincere way of making each person she meets feel special like they are important. She takes the time to share life with others that most people seem too busy to do. She loves life and loves sharing that with others through her smile and kindness. She is inspiring.
