About Undergraduate Admissions

What brought you to VCU?

I am a Richmond native and attended VCU from 2004-08. I recently returned to give back to the university that I love and that has inspired me.

What are three things we’ll find in your suitcase?

A planner, my high def camera/video recorder and lots of snacks

What’s one thing you don’t travel without?

Best part of your job:

The best part of my job is getting a chance to interact with people everyday and by helping them in the college admissions process. I enjoy being a part of assisting people in reaching their educational goals and pursuing their lifelong dreams.

What’s your favorite place on campus?

The University Student Commons — Breakpoint Game Room, the Office of Student Multicultural Affairs and the Commons Theater. I also love the video editing bays in the Temple Building.

About me

What don’t most people know about you?

I have a black and white cat named Marie and she’s been in my family for 14 years.

What’s on your iPod?

A wide variety of artist including Mary J. Blige, John Legend, Lyfe Jennings and Alicia Keys among others

What’s your perfect Sunday afternoon?

Relaxing at local parks, attending festivals, hanging out with friends and eating a big bowl of cold ice cream, covered in chocolate, strawberries and topped with whipped cream

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I had many interests growing up. I wanted to be a lawyer, a supermodel — but didn’t meet the height requirement — a professional boxer, a magazine editor, a crime scene investigator, a journalist or a fashion designer. I have since narrowed those options down.

What do you order at Starbucks?

Caramel macchiato

Who/what inspires you?

People who defy the odds. It’s always great when you can take a negative situation or circumstance in your life and make it positive.
