About Undergraduate Admissions

What brought you to VCU?

I have worked in undergraduate admissions in Tennessee for several years, and believe I have found my niche in higher education. I have close family in the area, so when an opportunity became available at VCU, I researched the university and jumped at the chance to become part of the VCU team.

Busy, dynamic, important

What do you enjoy most about meeting prospective VCU students?

When I am able to help them pursue their educational goals, I am rewarded with the knowledge that I am also helping the future leaders of world. It’s pretty amazing!

What are three things we’ll find in your suitcase?

My iPad, a paperback and far too many shoes

What’s one thing you don’t travel without?

A printed map. I am a little old-school.

I am a politics junkie.

What are you reading right now?

Since I don’t have any classes currently, for fun I’m reading Ken Follett.

What’s your perfect Sunday afternoon?

Football, food and family

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I thought I wanted to be an attorney. Looking back, I think I am happier with the career path I ended up taking.
